My Story

I write FBI crime thrillers and action adventure novels. I've been a kindle best-selling author. I've written short stories that have been in anthologies and won awards. You can experience my fiction writing at www.douglasdorow.com.

When I was writing my second novel, I wanted to do better. I wanted to improve my understanding of planning a novel. I hired an editor who I hoped would fulfill that role for me. I was disappointed. It wasn't that she wasn't a good editor, but she wasn't providing me the input I was looking for to plan and write my second novel, to hold me accountable to get it done.

I made it through the second novel and listened to a lot of podcasts to learn about writing and publishing. A couple of podcasts had a woman, Jenny Nash, talking about a company she started to train and certify book coaches.

I discovered that what I was looking for when I was writing my second novel was a book coach. I decided to look into book coaching and pursue the training and certification by Author Accelerator so I could have the tools to help other authors who were hoping to reach a goal to write and publish a book like I did.
